  • Many interviewers use behavioural interviewing questions, which require specific examples of past actions and behaviour at work.
  • Be prepared to elaborate on your "strengths and weaknesses"
  • Arrive early for the interview! Plan travel arrangements thoroughly
  • Your manner should be professional, polite and confident rather than overly informal.
  • Grooming and presentation are very important considerations. You get only one chance to make a first impression!
  • Use a firm handshake and maintain eye contact with your interviewer
  • Avoid negative or critical comments regarding past or present employers
  • Take a "show and tell". Not only can this create a point of difference, it is also a valuable way for you to take control of the conversation and demonstrate capability
